Description:
Blanc, founded in 2006, consolidated its three galleries into a single location in Quezon City in 2013. The expanded space has given Filipino artists, both emerging and established, a place to experiment and develop their practice. Paintings, sculptures, sound and video installations have all found a home at Blanc, which supports contemporary art in all its forms. Over its decade-long history, Blanc has garnered the attention of the art scene through its diverse and critically acclaimed exhibition program; and through its participation in local and international fairs. Prior to the move, Blanc offered residencies and developed audiences in areas outside of the usual artistic enclaves. A major role player in today’s scene, the gallery continues to contribute to the growth of Philippine contemporary art. Fearless and innovative, Blanc is loyal to artists possessed of both and vision and skill. It is the metaphorical blank canvas from which great art begins.
