Mission
We are dedicated to developing greater awareness and appreciation of our country’s rich artistic and cultural heritage in partnership with the National Museum of the Philippines and a growing number of museums to date.
The Museum Foundation of the Philippines is a non-stock, not-for-profit membership organization that supports all museums in the Philippines.
Company Overview
Museum Foundation raises awareness and appreciation of Philippine art, culture, and heritage by:
* Conducting lectures on Philippine art, history, and culture;
* Organizing cultural study tours in the Philippines;
* Organizing special fundraising events such as Art in the Park and MaARTe fairs;
* Providing grants to deserving programs and projects related to education, exhibitions, publications, and collection management; and
* Forming partnerships with organizations with similar missions.
Museum Foundation profile and relationship with the National Museum
The Museum Foundation of the Philippines has partnered with the National Museum for over a quarter of a century. It had advocated for three national landmark American colonial-era buildings to house the museum's collections and supported the charters under which the museum operates. The two institutions have since continued to raise awareness, appreciation, and pride of our historical and cultural heritage.
To date, Museum Foundation of the Philippines aims to develop a museum-going habit among Filipinos and expands its support to all museums in the country.
