Description:

35 years of Bringing Art to the South

Village Art Gallery was established almost 30 years ago when the lure to live South of Manila started among the upward, mobile, educated & progressive individuals and families.

Even then Agnes Galvez, founder of the gallery, saw already the need of the so-called yuppies to go beyond simply existing to making life richer & more meaningful. She initially located Village Art Gallery in the midst of the country’s largest residential community, BF Homes to cater to residents’ need for art. When the consumer trend shifted to the malls, it was her gallery that was one of the first to establish at Alabang Town Center, its present location.

Through the years, Village Art Gallery has assisted clients to scout for valuable pieces from contemporary masters to emerging artists. Many of the budding artists have gone on to carve names for themselves. Presently run by daughter Sam Galvez-Lorenzo, herself an artist of the post-modern genre, Village Art Gallery continues its avowed purpose of developing artists who may be full of talent but lack exposure and motivation.

The best of Philippine art is offered by Village Art Gallery. Its integrity in the art community is unquestioned. The development in the South is matched by the Gallery’s recent physical make-over. Village Art Gallery is committed to provide the inherently exceptional Pinoy creativity in art.
